Education and Culture
The main object today was to visit London's Natural History Museum. Being the beginning of the school holidays, I made the initial error of getting caught up in the rush to see the dinosaurs, but once safely out of that area, I was free to explore the rest. Bypassing some of the 'interactive' elements of the Zones, I found things like the above the most interesting; real natural history, there in front of you, though I did find a lot of the taxidermy quite unsettling. Each 'Zone' has various subject areas and I probably spent most time in the Green and Orange zones where subjects included Ecology, Birds, Creepy Crawlies and the oasis that is the Wildlife Garden, even more welcome on a hot, noisy day like today. I also managed to visit a few more locations (mostly via tube) including wandering round Camden's seemingly infinite markets.
