Sunrise surprise

An early blip from me today - and one that caught me by surprise.

I had a marvellous evening yesterday - dinner at my favourite Italian restaurant followed by sitting in the very front row for Maestro Barenboim as he and the Berlin Staatskapelle came to Birmingham to play Schoenberg "Verklarte Nacht" and the Beethoven 3rd Piano Concerto. It was unforgettable and I drove home overflowing with excitement. I didn't watch the weather forecast and just went to bed

I woke this morning to a blanket of snow and a spectacular sunrise. I happened to have my camera by the bedside (Blip mania ?) and just snapped through the window. I loved the pattern of snow on the buildings, the bare tree and that glorious rose-coloured flush of the sky.....

Yes another **** sunrise !
