Day Out With The Lads

Meanwhile back in bonnie Scotland it was a game of golf with me and the lads me and Alan B who is wearing the light blue shirt teamed up against the 2 Davids playing combined stableford points totals well after 4 holes we were 8 points behind me being the captain for the first 9 holes managed to get us to the 9th hole at 29-28 points in our favour and then with Alan as captain we finished a further 3 points up finishing 60-56 ahead it was a good day albeit having my mandatory nurofen tablets a hour before teeing off as I have had 3 major back injuries over the years the 1st being involved in a car crash the 2nd was driving three engines back from Motherwell one New Years eve when two massive bricks came through the glass on the side window of my class 37 engine knocking me completlety out the seat and onto the floor ending up in hospital in Livingston and thirdly slipping on ice on a platform at night on boxing day on a engineering train and hitting the base of my back on the platform edge and getting wedged upside down between the platform and my engine and I was stuck in that position for 15 minutes until a rail worker helped pull me free so the nurofen allows me the time to get a round of golf in with not too much discomfort anyway it was a good day all round and that was it really then home watched a movie then went on internet thankfully folks were in a better mood than the day previous almost jekyll and hide at times as the Scots would say Yeh Canny Win well hopefully that will change optimism over pessimism any day especially come 18th of Sept anyway this blip was taken on the 14th tee at Harburn golf club near West Calder movie for the day is "Fair Game 2010"
