Golden Glory

This golden beauty is another hummingbird favorite. This is a lovely form of Crocosmia (an African bulb) that does well in our garden. This particular form goes by two names: 'Golden Glory' or 'George Davison' (the former being the old name). The arching spikes of color are perfect in a sunny situation, with pretty amber flowers. The brilliant red 'Lucifer' is probably the most common Crocosmia, but this blends in much more easily in a mixed border. They are a little shorter than the strutting Lucifer as well. Any Crocosmia will be a hit with the hummingbirds and also add a serious dash of color to the high summer garden.
