Floral note

Another lovely, hot day here on Salt Spring. We spent it working on the garden but with a wonderful swim in the lake in the heat of the afternoon. It was very refreshing and beautiful too. There were only a couple of other people around. The only disconcerting thing was to be joined by a couple of small garter snakes (so I was told). Perhaps that's why our dog, Jasper, didn't want to join us.
