Willamette River Dawn

The summer weather is certainly full-on in the Willamette River Valley.

The daytime highs are predicted in the 90s through the weekend.

I am scheduled to ride my first “Century” on Saturday.

My son, Christopher, and my wife, Kathy, will be my “ support crew” for the attempt.

I am so fortunate to have folks to cheer me on….

Indeed, they are the “air in my tires”!

Starting my century ride very early in the day is my only strategy for this weather.

Peddling in the pre-dawn twilight, I tried it out on my training ride this morning.

Dawn over the Willamette River was quite beautiful.
