Happenstance

I went to a Trends Breakfast at a place called Happenstance, in the shadow of St Paul's this morning. Even though it was early there were plenty of people clustered around the cathedral. The breakfast was about the modern family: lots of stats about changes between now, the 50s and Victorian times. What was really surprising was how little some things have changed, for example, in the late 19th century the divorce rate was 42%; today it's 40%.
