The perfect day

So it turns out starting a new decade isn't so bad after all. Today was a lovely day - the weather forecast was hopelessly inaccurate, and it was warm and sunny all day. We have enjoyed the water gardens at Alnwick, Warkworth Castle, kite flying and paddling on the beach, and dinner (and wine) in a treehouse. And England won the cricket too. Quite why I wasn't looking forward to turning 40 I really can't imagine!
