Puffy quilt

This is my latest project. My mom was in her 90's when she started this quilt and when her eye sight started to fail her, she put it up and never touched it again. I found it in with her scraps of material and decided I would finish it. The pattern was in a 1966 Womans Day magazine. Each hexagon is made with two pieces of material (one larger than the other) and tacked together to get the puffy look. Hopefully I will finish it this year but I really have to be in the mood to work on it because it is very slow putting it together.
