Busy day as we travelled to Leeds to pick up a desk and chair for our youngest son Thomas. Then a quick visit to York to pick up supplies before heading home for lunch.

The 62nd Pickering Traction Engine Rally got under way today. Howecer as we passed by the field heavy rain gave them a rather wet start. It used to be a weekend event but has grown over the years to a four day event. Unfortunately we will miss the parade of engines into the town on Saturday as we cross the country for a week in the Lakes.

I did try to blip a large Meccano model of a traction engine but the window reflection meant it was difficult to get the right shot. So instead my local wool shop came to the rescue with a basket of local wool plus
