Sketching Day 3

We met up at High Bradfield today and spent most of the day in the churchyard of this medieval church. I did have a look inside first as I've never been in before but was disappointed by the Victorian make-over which seems to have obliterated all the early features of the building. There is a medieval brass plaque attached to one of the pews and a stone cross that appears even older but that's all I spotted.

I spent some time drawing at the front of the church in the morning (while some of the local women decorated the church with flowers in preparation for a wedding). In the afternoon I sat up here, among the gravestones, and drew the view towards the village.
