The hills behind Garstang rise dramatically, giving a great view out to Morecambe Bay. On a clear day you can see the Lake District and the Welsh hills, as well as Heysham power station and any large ships in the bay. It is a steep climb but well worth it! This view is through the the little spiny half way up the hill and adds another dimension.
