The results are in!

Election day is usually a busy one for me as I volunteer to scrutineer at the polls and to help "get out the vote", but with all of the curve balls thrown my way recently, that was simply not possible. Instead, Justin and I worked like crazy to "get out the stuff" that will not be moved to Montreal.

By the time I stopped working in the evening, the election results were rolling in. For the first time in 71 years, a Liberal candidate was elected in our riding! It was an historic day for other reasons as well, as Liberal leader Kathleen Wynne became the first woman ever to be elected as premier of Ontario when voters gave the Liberals a majority government. Although it was, appropriately, not an election issue, Wynne is also the first openly gay elected premier in Canada.

There was only one photo that I wanted to take today, and only one photo I took.
