As I was leaving St Ives......
We set off from St Ives this morning on foot. Our destination was Clodgy Point way above the town. As we leave we pass the craziness of Porthmeor Beach where families have set up camps for the day with tents and windbreakers and cool boxes and towels and swimming costumes and wet suits and flippers. Every day by 10:00am it looks like some sort of refugee camp only a bit more colorful and much noisier.
As we walk the noise recedes into the distance and although we can still see the beach it gradually starts to blend into the rest of the coastline. When we reach Clodgy Point the only sounds are of the wind, the sea and the birds. We can look back from here and say goodbye to St Ives. Today is our last day.
