A touch of blue
Walking Pippa down by the River Wey at Waverley Abbey this morning I was watching the butterflies, as I seem to do these days, enjoying the meadow browns and the gatekeepers and the small tortoiseshells. But it was a little blue one that got me excited. Back home I did a lot of umming and aahing before deciding it was a female common blue. A brimstone popped in to the garden and merged with the clematis but, lovely as it was, I had my blip for today.
