Winter Campervan Trip. Part Two.
Walked straight up from where we parked up last night onto the snowy hills.
Patches of heather and rocks emerge through the snow, leaving some big areas with no interruptions.
The snow plays games with you, holding your weight easily for a few steps, then drops you a suddenly into the deep snow beneath!
This picture shows a strange phenomenon of the peaty, brown, melt water meandering it's own path on top of ice and snow, running smoothly over a river bed of ice, no ancient stones to tumble over.
The real colour of the water revealed through the white background of snow, a wonderful brown tone like something from a brewery.
