Queensland coast
We are now in Port Douglas, a very pretty, relaxed little town. The streets are lined with tropical trees, and all the hotels are low rise. It looks a bit more up-market than we are accustomed to, judging by the prices in the shops. We took a morning walk to this viewpoint, then along the beach - we didn't walk all 4 miles of its length as we had to shelter from a tropical downpour - lucky those trees have very big leaves! We found a restaurant for lunch that had wild barramundi, which tastes so much nicer than the farmed stuff. (It also offered the bonus of free wifi so I caught up with a few back blips, as the hotel only offered the use of an old windows machine.)
