Old Fashion Rose

When I toured the Chinese Gardens in Portland Oregon I saw a rose that I loved, so I searched for one that looked like it. This pink rose is the one I found. The flower reminds me a little of a dogwood flower which is my absolute favorite flower.

I feels so blessed that my neighbors both have dogwood trees. I like the native white dogwood the best. I have heard that there are area with wooded areas populated with dogwoods; we have a few in the local hillsides. However, it seems like there are fewer and fewer each year.
