Spiders from mars

This little green monster had the audacity to perch itself in my bathroom this morning! I managed to decant it into a glass and re-home it in the garden using little more than an empty glass and a card (very pleased with myself!).

It reminded me of a nightmare hallucination I used to get when I was a child (I suffered with acute tonsillitis regularly but my Dr thought it better for me to keep them in!). I used to think little green men were marching up the bed with hammers & pick axes to chip away at my teeth so of try to close my mouth, cover my nose & ears and shut my eyes to keep them out! Must have been a nightmare for my poor old mum trying to stop me from suffocating myself what fighting off a ranging fever & sore throat.

It's a wonder I was so kind to the critter really considering the memory it provoked. I must be mellowing with age.
