Bringing my bike to London, with the help of Jonathan Eves at the train station, was a brilliant idea. I'm seeing the capital from a new perspective. The journey along canal towpaths from behind Kings Cross to Ladbroke Grove on Monday was a revelation, along a leafy green corridor between busy streets. Today, I cycled further up the Grand Union canal, from Ladbroke Grove to Sudbury golf course, a return trip of 13 miles. It looked like this!
