Gone Fishin'

Oh, those glorious halcyon days of summer holidays! I loved the way the boy was standing in the shaft of sunlight which I noticed as I was on my way to sit by the river and enjoy a cup of tea from the kiosk on Jesus green. This is the playground of my schooldays and I have lots of happy memories of meeting friends, swimming or just lazing about, oh, and getting to know the boys, as I went to an 'all girls' school. It really hasn't changed much apart from some new play equipment and many houseboats moored on the banks. The notice near the other boy says 'NO ENTRY' meaning no boats allowed along there. The fishermen don't have much space for their hobby these days and some complaints were made. Our river Cam is getting quite overcrowded with punts, college rowers and permanent barges, many of them derelict which must now be removed. One disgruntled parent has done something about it. Mrs swan has attacked anyone going too near her nests and cygnets !
