Brack's Mount
This photograph, taken in extremely low light conditions, and without a tripod, shows Brack's Mount, Lewes, the eastern of two mottes that formed the original Lewes Castle, and against which my local pub, the Lewes Arms, is built (not shown here...).
I decided to tweak the photo in Photoshop, adjusting the filters to "posterize" the image. I was intrigued by the way the branches of the overhanging trees resembled cracks in the sky area, and the pollarded trees protruding from the mount make distinctive elements of a basically simple image. The house added an air of mystery.
