Breakfast, Brolly and Beachy Head

We awoke to torrential rain so ate a leisurely breakfast as we thought our planned walk to Beachy Head was cancelled. However after wandering around the town for a while the sun and warmth returned so we climbed the Downs.
Britians tallest chalk cliffs are found at Beechy Head, they rise sharply from Eastbourne towards its highest point falling away to the west towards Birling Gap where we had a cuppa and a cake in the NT tea room. We took the open top bus back to the car.
Traveling homeward we stopped at Tunbridge Wells for a walk around the town.
