Le domestique

I'd like to thank my team who worked tirelessly and selflessly for me today to get me here. Colin- couldn't have done it without him. It's been a long year of training to get to this point, but I'd like to let my supporters know that this ride today, the completion of the leith murrayfield cycle route is not the pinnacle of my achievement. There is more in the old engine yet, I won't be retired just yet despite unstable tendons and pins sticking into muscles.
Right, I think I need a wee rest now.

Cycled to work for the first time in a year. It was a massive achievement.
And it was lovely. May be a while before I'm knocking out those 50milers again though.
