Ater getting stocked up we set off on the next stage of our trip, up to Lake Tahoe. Stopped off in Berkeley (very nice!) and went to find Chez Panisse to admire from a distance since couldn't book online. But once we arrived I just had to nip in and ask about a table and we got one! Delicious lunch, all the more so since we didn't expect to be able to visit. This peace sign was on the gates of the restaurant....
Afterwards set off again on the long trek...took about 4 hours but very straightforward and no real traffic.
We wee a tiny bit worried going into C's house given all the bear talk when we were planning the trip (and the fact we're on Bear Avenue....last house before the forest takes over!), but all fine and cosy. Only arrived in time for some prosecco and crisps before a bit of TV and bed. Looking forward to exploring the lake and trails tomorrow!
