Yuk!

This pest is a lubber grasshopper. They get to be about 3 inches long and will eat everything in your garden! I came upon a lot of them mating on the side of a road today. The male was fluttering his wings which showed the magenta underneath. He would also stretch his hind legs up over his back. Although I dislike them intensely, they were interesting to watch.
