'Woodpeckers' at Polzeath
It was a less sunny today, but life here is still ruled by the beach and the waves which are the centre of everything. We went to check our emails at a local cafe which offers wifi, as well as being a Christian centre, perched on an elevated spot of a hillside just a few yards from the beach. The place had actually closed to the public as they were preparing for a week of 'mission' events, but Helena was allowed to use their wifi anyway. Then she received an email from Susan, who has kindly let us use her wonderful caravan here, telling us that the wifi in the van should be working after all. When we got back, lo and behold the broadband was connecting, so now we can blip away!
I took a lot of pictures of a beautiful, but unidentified flower, as well as more surfing shots. But when we went to the beach in the late afternoon Woodpeckers decided to try body surfing as well and I couldn't miss this chance to blip her as she came out of the waves for the last time. It was a bit chilly I think and she was very brave to my mind. she thinks she is going to get me to body surf, but it will have to be very hot again for that to happen, and sadly the weather seems to have turned.
