Gary, The Grasshopper

Gary was quite pleased to see me this morning ... He'd got a small dead leaf stuck to his foot, which he was having difficulty removing ... I told him to stay put where he was for a few moments - standing on the hand rail - and quickly hooked out my "emergency" camera ...
If Gary had been in anyway hurt, or damaged himself on said leaf, then it is, of course, very important to gather as much evidence as possible in situations like this, which could help in any future claim for injuries against the tree, bush, or plant, which had disposed of the leaf so thoughtlessly ...
Having taken the photo as required, I then carefully helped Gary remove the leaf and he hopped off happily into the path of an oncoming car ... :o(

I, on the other hand, got some very strange looks from the occupants of the car when they saw me running towards them, waving my hands in the air and shouting, "Ahhhh !!! ... DON'T RUN OVER GARY."
