Stone Masons Yard - York Minster

Took my daughter into York to catch the train to Manchester first thing this morning. So early no shops were open and no sightseers, really strange, never seen the place so empty!

Stopped by the Minster to see if the stone masons had started to work but they were still busy drinking tea.

There were several stone carvings which were 'work in progress' but this rather creepy one caught my eye. His head looked out of proportion to his body and he was definitely in need of a pedicure! It will be interesting to see what he looks like when he is in situ.
