West coast seals

After a surprisingly good night's sleep in the car, we drove to Arisaig for breakfast and some kayaking and some much-needed migde bite cream (my face is a picture). Although this photo doesn't show it, the weather was lovely - sunny all day.

It was my New Year's Resolution to see some wild seals and now I have seen plenty. They were everywhere as we glided through the little islands and out to sea. Going out to sea was a little accidental - ended up paddling further than planned and in choppier water - but on the way back we saw a pup which was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen and definitely worth the detour. I do love the sea. All water in fact.

Afterwards we drove back to Glasgow, via The Claigaig Inn for 2 well deserved steaks!
