The yellow rose of sharon!

We have several sites in the garden where these have propagated themselves. They provide a lovely splash of colour towards the end of the summer. As you can see, this bush is intermingled with other later flowering plants (The one with the very long leaves from which comes a strong orange frond-like flower!).

After our recent great weather, I almost had to use a "moving subjects" setting on the camera as there is a very strong wind today.
