Sara Chute

Sara is a friend of ours from KOM (Karen of Minnesota), a group whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for Karen and other refugees from Burma in Minnesota. Sara was the chair extraordinaire for years. Now that honor has been passed to Jim.

Sara's wedding was befitting the beautiful person that she is. Held at the Varsity Theater, a venue in which we have enjoyed several concerts, the marquee announced the wedding and donned movie posters of the happy couple. Sara was escorted to the stage by two friends of hers, a gay couple who also extended their San Fransisco condo to the couple for their honeymoon. The service was officiated by her witty brother and sister-in-law who included a moment where everyone turned around, held up their phones and took a "selfie" with the bride and her groom. The table favors were taffies made by the groom. The appetizer buffet was delicious and included grilled cheese sandwiches! And, although we didn't stay to enjoy it, music was provided by an Austin Powers cover band. The room was filled with beauty, diversity and love.
