An Experiment

On our dog walk today just before we ascended the windmill hill I took this shot.

I was intrigued by the all the different shades in the clouds. So I set exposure for the sky/clouds to avoid burnt out highlights and this rendered the ground almost as a silhouette.

I played around with develop sliders in Lightroom and managed to enhance all the textures in the clouds as well as bring out some (rather grainy) detail in the land.
