Celebrity Bears

Heather and Gunther, famous bears, but both too shy to allow me to go on and on about their accomplishments, have returned to the great Northwest from their lengthy tour in the New Mexico area. They arrived in excellent condition, as most stars do, hardly even touching the snacks they were given for the trip. They will surely miss all the little children they have grown to know and love, and will look forward to seeing them again someday, probably when the wind changes.

Until then, we will give them all the love and attention that celebrity bears deserve, and I'm sure they'll keep up their workouts and their excellent diet so they will be ready for their next curtain call.

Historical note: Annie met Gunther first, he had stopped off, between shows, in a little gas station in the Englewood area. Annie was home from college, probably around 1980. Gunther was looking for a new act and Annie took him in. A year or so later, the little starlet, Heather, was auditioning for jobs and looking for a suitable room and board situation. Suspecting that Gunther and Heather would make an excellent team, Annie brought her home to meet him. They've been partners ever since! It's good to have them home :-)
