The Pie Village

Denby Dale has a long tradition of making giant pies - more info here than you probably need!
There is also a "Pie Hall", which in any other village would be the community hall/social club.
I love this sign, but had to do a return visit with a book to screen the sun glare out - the one at the other end of the village seems to have disappeared
( pinched by the metal thieves? ) so had to take this one into the sun. The person mowing the lawn in the garden nearby must have thought I was mad the first time I stopped the car and leapt out, but the second pass must have confirmed my raving loony status...
