What to do when it's raining?

Go to the library café, have some nice soup and coffee, read the papers, go for a walk around town, visit the local Art and Cultural center at Duus-house (where this photo is taken). I can truly recommend a visit to the museum with it's many interesting and very different exhibitions. Then you go and visit your old mother/mother in law at the hospital ;) After two days at the big hospital in Reykjavík, today she was transferred here to the hospital in Keflavík (her hometown) where she will stay until she's recovered good enough to go home again. Most of the staff already knows her from her lengthy stay earlier, so in a way that's nice, as they can better tend to her needs.

This is my 6th trip to Keflavík since my mother first broke her hip in March this year, but this time it's a little different since my husband has vacation and is accompanying me. Therefore we try to find some things to do between hospital visits, like go to the swimming pool, and all those things I mentioned at the beginning of this post. The weather forecast for tomorrow is pretty good so we're thinking about taking a day trip, but we haven't quite decided where we are going :)
