The Commonwealth Games

At last a proper summers Scottish day for our visit to the Games. First stop the Marathon to pick up some training tips. Brilliant buzz all around the route which was cleverly laid out to allow multiple opportunities to see both the mens and female races. We managed to get a good spot on the finishing straight and afterwards had a look at Glasgow Green which seems to be the central hub of the games in the city . After a good lunch in the Merchant city went to Ibrox for the rugby sevens . Absolutely brilliant atmosphere with all the teams being given a good reception ( including the auld enemy) and top marks to the lad who was compering and had all the stadium singing between matches. Top marks to all the volunteers and helpers all of whom were doing a great job .
