Flourishing Glasgow...

I've had a busy, busy day and have been spoiled for blip choice.

My now regular Saturday morning run under the Erskine Bridge was brutal but satisfying. The shoreline was full of spectators, enjoying the sight of a 250 strong flotilla, sailing from Greenock, up the River Clyde to Glasgow. I got some great pics as I waved with the others.

Late afternoon was spent in Ashton Lane, eating gorgeous food and sipping Hendricks gin and tonic. Two athletes from the Pacific island of Vanuatu were enjoying the attention and posing for snaps.

But tonight's blip was taken at a free gig in the newly refurbished and absolutely stunning bandstand in kelvingrove park. Despite the rain, Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire let the sun shine in. They are terrific live, catch them if you can.

A wonderful day, in wonderful company, in wonderful Glasgow, flourishing as it entertains the Commonwealth.
