Traditional
I realise now that I was sparse with the travel details yesterday. I am in Romania all week for work. The weather is actually delightful, not the 35degrees threatened or the 40 it can often be at this time of year, just warm and balmy.
Work was work, then we went out of town to have dinner by a lake. I demanded traditional Romanian fayre as is my wont when I am here. I had cabbage leaves stuffed with mince (tasted like sausage meat) with polenta. Polenta is not my favourite but the cabbagey mincey thing was very tasty. My pudding was not only traditional but local traditional! Pancakes with a sweet cheese filling (I gave had this before) completely covered in a huge meringue mountain all a Baked Alaska (this was the local bit and I really have no idea how to spell meringue but have just looked it up and corrected....) it was all very good and a fair bit of work related ranting happened, all very healthy.
Spoke to the children, Will is able to hold a proper conversation on the phone now and tell me about his day although I am still not clear if Jay burnt his dinner or if it was just very hot. Worthing was apparently flooded this morning, just as well Daisy was sleeping in her friends garden. Also just as well she later found her new shorts which were initially reported as having blown away....
Internet connection appears to be worse than ever at the moment so please forgive me if I am a little late with my blips or comments.
