Circle of Trust

I jokingly call this photo "Circle of Trust", after the FUNNY movie "Meet the Parents".

(Okay, quick side note here...I just asked my husband if this was the right expression from the movie and he stopped, stared at me and said, "Are you really circling of trust that wheat?? Think that's going kinda deep today??" A huge smile then crept over my face followed by the hugest fit of laughter that I have had all morning. Oh I love him, he keeps me so grounded, we are very good for each other that way!)

Soooo anyways, back to the "Circle of Trust"......

My girlfriends and I (two of my trees) met for lunch yesterday (Yesterday because I am back blipping right now). Spending an afternoon with friends who are in my "Circle of Trust", just gives me a feeling of balance. Balance of knowing that I have trust with my family. Balance knowing that I have trust with my close friends. So on my way to lunch, I snapped this shot of what looks like wheat, but I'm not really sure what the actual name of this plant is. I was just attracted to the way the leaf makes a full circle around the photo. And I like the perspective of looking up towards the sky. The sky and the role that its enormous presence plays in our daily lives. Sky photos have been giving me a lot of hope, inspiration, and clarity these past few days.

Hope and inspiration and clarity has been desperately needed for so many of my family members and friends this week. It has been an emotional couple of days because of our dear friend's surgery here. I will be updating her condition for you all as much as I can because I have been overwhelmed by all of your concern, thoughtfulness, and prayers. She is basically a living miracle right now. Her body has accepted the lungs. She is breathing on her own with the help of oxygen, and most importantly, she is alert and talking. She will be reading all of your precious comments as she is also a follower of my blips. Your kind words will touch her soul. They really will, she gains so much strength and "the will to push on" by the love given to her by other people. I wish that you all had the opportunity to have her in your lives because she makes such a deep and lasting impact on everyone that she meets. Those of you reading this who know her, know exactly what I am talking about. She's a woman who tackles tough times with the most sincere amount of positive energy that I have ever seen. She is not just a "second mother" ONLY to me.......many of our friends refer to her in the same way. Again, we are blessed. Another reason why I have named my blip, "Circle of Trust". To know someone like this who offers so much unconditional love, never casts judgements, and loves us all just the way we are...that is trust. Trust that circles around and around and around. The kind of trust that I receive every single day from my Mom and Dad. My sister. My husband. All of our extended families. All of our friends. Trust that is earned not just given. To have this kind of trust with this kind of a woman (she is also my Mom's best friend) is just incredible.

And lastly, we had the opportunity to spend the evening with a fabulous little family last night. We bonded over fresh chicken tacos and the realization that this new friendship is one that will continue to grow and grow. It is my opinion that you instantly know a lot about a person when you first meet them. You know if you are going to connect on a level that reaches beyond acquaintances. You know if they are going to be people whom you can trust. Well, it's a done deal with them. You will be hearing more about this couple and their adorable little boy. They are professional photographers. Their work is inspirational. The connection that they have as a couple is inspirational as well. It is refreshing to see a marriage that is filled with so much support and positivity. I have a pretty good feeling that she will become one of my trees. Tonight, they are taking us to a Chocolate Fondue event downtown at the Forestry center. They want to preview the space for an up and coming wedding. I WILL be bringing my camera as I know that they will each have theirs. (I better pack duck tape camera here for my husband so that he doesn't feel out of the loop, HA!)

Wow, another lengthy journal today. We are enjoying a lazy family morning (no preschool or dance class) and my fingers just keep flying away on this one. Time to spend this lounging and very relaxing time with my sweet family. Because this is a back blip, I'm hoping to post a pretty sweet shot from tonight's event!

Until then blipland.......enjoy your day!
