Hard to choose

Took about 100 pictures on Saturday - almost impossible to choose just one.

We'd arranged a weekend's camping in Dorset with Mr G's family. In the event, we opted to avoid the school-holiday rush on Friday night, and instead drove down early (very early) on Saturday morning. To give you an idea of how early, suffice to say I was cooking pancakes for breakfast by 7.30 am. We live a good 3.5 hours' drive away.

It sounds like we made the right call - it took Mr G's parents 7 hours to get there from Harrow on Friday, and there was an exceptionally large and exceptionally loud party occupying part of the same campsite (some of whom were still drinking beer when we arrived...) so I'm not sure we missed out on an awful lot!

We spent most of the day at Charmouth, hunting fossils and building sand volcanoes on the beach. Then back to the campsite for a picnic tea around the campfire. It was glorious.


Something must be awry with my camera settings - this was definitely taken on Saturday, not Sunday... didn't spot it had the wrong date when I uploaded. Never mind - it can stand for Sunday too, which was spent in much the same fashion, only without many photos being taken!
