Mamta Clinics #Pakistan

Since 2008, midwives at IMPACT Pakistan’s 16 Mamta (mother and baby) Clinics have accompanied 26,000 women safely through their pregnancies.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir are stunning locations, ‘High peak mountains, beautiful valleys, lush green plains, thick forests and winding streams’, describes a Programme Officer.

But living in such a remote place is problematic in the event of ill health. So the Clinics also serve as a base for our GPs, providing general health services to the local communities. Over 100,000 patients, who would otherwise have nowhere to turn, have been treated.
