Getting ready for the boks...

So myself, 77 and the wee man were up early this morning as we were off to the Commonwealth games rugby 7,s at Ibrox. Not an entirely successful experience if I'm honest as while the atmostphere at the ground was great it was also pretty loud. The young man had been up since 5 and badly needed to sleep but with all the cheering he just got plain upset, lots of crying and whining which is very unlike him, poor wee soldier. I carried him around the back of the stands but it wasn't quite the same. As it was allocated seating there was less of the free and easy coming and going of the Glasgow 7's which made it a bit harder to deal with as well.

However we did get to see some pretty cracking rugby(and I was nicely close to some fit rugby men as well, bonus) and I think with the strategic purchase of some baby ear defenders, we should be able to get the wee man along to some more major sporting events.
