The Opening Ceremony...

I booked the tickets a long time ago and have been looking forward to this evening ever since, and it lived up to expectation! A wonderful spectacle of the best athletes of the Commonwealth parading against a backdrop that was quirky but definitely Scottish. So many different shots to choose from... but one of the things that struck me most was the joy of the athletes as they took part in the parade... this shot gives an idea of that...
