Fun and games

Tonight all Glasgow's manic preparations of the last few weeks culminated with the opening ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

We decided to make an impromptu trip to the opening ceremony party hosted by the BBC at Pacific Quay. After a few ciders we decided to hang about and watch the whole thing on the big screen. Far too much John Barrowman for any sane person's liking, but on the whole not too bad!

Minor disaster of nearly missing fireworks was narrowly averted.
