Marathon mark one

The city is brimming with things to do.

Today we checked out the Vintage Glasgow style at the Merchant city festival, grabbed some great food, boogied a bit to the bands and made sure we caught the key swimming finals on the big screens.

But best of all, we were privileged to see one of the legs of Nicola Benedetti's personal Classics Marathon.

Literally standing room only as she played with both the RSNO and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

I realised as I was listening that these weeks are all about making memories to store away after the summer has gone.

And those moments, especially listening to her version of 'My love is like red red rose', will be with me for a long long time.
