Kai and I joined a protest today regarding the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

I tried to explain the conflict simply to Kai. He listened....looked mostly bemused, and then got upset and a bit angry that people, especially children, were being hurt. It didn't occur to him to take a side.

This was my favourite photo of the day.

Two passionate men, an Israeli and a Palestinian, a Muslim and a Jew (he is wearing a skullcap though you can't see it from this angle), brought together by protest, laughing together.


Also loved this! It's on for 4 more days and definitely worth a watch for some stunning cinematography, a moving soundtrack and a poignant message.
