Lake Garda storms

Well the storm hit through the night with thunder and lightning which lasted most of the morning. It seemed to clear but this was only temporary so we spent most of the day in our little caravan playing games (thankfully there is a big stock of games in the main office which you can just help yourself to), eating, reading, sleeping and chatting which was actually really lovely. There is absolutely no internet available on the site except in the restaurants and reception but it's been really nice not checking the internet or watching anything and just spending good quality time with each other.
Sometimes when there was a break in the rain we went for a walk and the above blip is of the kids racing us back to the caravan (they thought it was great that they were allowed to take a different route to us!).

Finally when the skies cleared we went for an evening walk to the beach to have crepes and a play, so even though we couldn't do what we had originally planned we still had a nice day.

I'm really loving my regular siestas this holiday. i could get used to them!
