Peach

It may look delicious , but in fact it is as hard as a brick.

My Mum was a war time bride and at her wedding the lady doing the catering had managed to acquire tinned peaches which apparently was a rare treat.
We often had tinned peaches as dessert but I was never very fond of them although I did eat them. I didn't like fresh peaches either unless they were peeled and cut off the stone. I still do not like peach or apricot skin. I do like nectarines and especially the white ones that are in the shops just now.
