Can't tell you how much these Octagenarian Morrris Dancers made me laugh today!
Their dances kept getting ina musddle cos one or the other had nipped off for another pint or a pee....and their laughing was inrespersed with comments such as.. " whats up with you today?"....bu**er off, I'll be ok when I can get this hip working in time with the rest of me"...."yeah, but what about in time with the rest of us " !!!
The one on the right with the big bushy beard was a dead ringer for Uncle Albert out of Only Fools and Horses. The one at the back who was completely out of time was definitely poor old Godfrey from Dads Army !!! lol.
This summer fayre was held at Salmesbury Hall in Lancashire, which is the venue my daughter and her fiancée have chosen to get married in next year, so I went along for a good nosy! I am determined not to turn into that nightmare which is the bride to be's mother ! But I heartily approved its gorgeous and unusual but understated... very like them! Anyway, a bit of summer silliness on this very hot weekend! Hope you've all had a sizzler :)
